Daily Leadership Thought #108 – Why I Like Entrepreneurs

I’ve always enjoyed the company of fellow entrepreneurs and small  business owners.  It is inherent to their nature to be risk takers and problem solvers.  They are rarely satisfied with the status quo and are constantly looking for new and better ways to do things.   The best ones understand that the biggest obstacle to their success is usually themselves, so they constantly work on their own growth and development.  They are also self-confident enough to encourage honest feedback from their customers and employees; knowing that this type of input is critical to any long-term sustainable success.  Instead of being in a defensive mode (always reacting to the actions of others) they opt to play offense and architect the future they want to make happen.  Most of them are optimists and see the world full of opportunity.  The world would be a much different (and boring) place without the entrepreneurial class.
